"With "Mazhaikalamum Kuyilosaiyum," a timeless homage to the untamed beauties of our planet, you may enter the relaxing cadence of nature."

• Introduction:

With its vivid observations, Mazhaikalamum Kuyilosaiyum is a fascinating environmental book that highlights the beauty, profundity, and fragile equilibrium of the natural world. Through insightful essays and reflections, it draws readers into the genuine, unadulterated world of nature, environment, and wildlife.

• Tale concerning the book Mazhaikalamum Kuyilosaiyum:

   • Mazhaikalamum Kuyilosaiyum is a well-chosen collection of essays that captures the vibrant spirit of India's natural environment. M. Krishnan's eloquence and observational acuity are used to depict a leisurely stroll through forests, fields, and the shifting seasons in each chapter of the book. The non-fiction story is based on actual occurrences and real-world interactions rather than being a work of fiction.

   • Readers experience the gentle onset of the monsoon (Mazhaikalam), the fascinating call of the koel (Kuyilosai), and many more instances like these in which nature communicates in a low voice but with great meaning throughout its pages.

   • With passion and knowledge, the book brings to life even the tiniest of animals and the slightest of weather fluctuations, making it a genuine wildlife story and natural story.

   • It is more than an environmental book; it is a celebration of the beauty of ecology, a homage to India's varied ecosystems, and a reminder of how intimately connected we are to our surroundings. This timeless, contemplative, and profoundly grounded in the rhythms of the earth non-fiction story is a collection of stories.

• A story about the writers M. Krishnan and S. Theodore Baskaran:

1. M. Krishnan (1912–1996):

   • He was born in Tirunelveli, and he spent his childhood in Mylapore, which is known for its lush natural environment. There, he honed his keen observation skills, whether he was chasing jackals, drawing plants, or looking after a pet mongoose.

   • At Presidency College, where he also picked up watercolor painting and line drawing, he studied botany with Prof. P.F. Fyson and became very close to the flora of the Nilgiris.

   • He worked as a freelance writer and photographer after a few short stints in several positions, including with All India Radio and the Maharaja of Sandur. He wrote for The Hindu and Illustrated Weekly, and from 1950 until his passing, he produced ""The Country Notebook"" every two weeks in The Statesman (46 years in a row!).

   • He was a key figure in Project Tiger and helped create the Indian Board for Wildlife. He also received a Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship for his studies of mammals and the Padma Shri in 1969/70.

   • As a ""Nature's Spokesman,"" his straightforward and keen observational style allowed him to capture the untamed spirit of India without embellishment or hyperbole.

2. Theodore Baskaran, born in 1940:

   • He was raised among wildlife and had early bird-watching experiences in Dharapuram, where he attended Madras Christian College to study history.

   • Baskaran's career was varied; he worked for the Indian Postal Service (where he eventually became Chief Postmaster General of Tamil Nadu), had a significant role in the 1971 war, and later oversaw the digitization of Tamil archives as the director of the Roja Muthiah Library.

   • In addition to being a well-known film historian (""The Message Bearers,"" The Eye of the Serpent), he also compiled wildlife literature, such as The Dance of the Sarus (1999) and The Sprint of the Blackbuck (2009), which connected environmental and cultural history.

   • He has been the honorary wildlife warden, a trustee of WWF-India, and the South India representative for the International Primate Protection League because he is a prolific naturalist and conservationist.

   • Baskaran, who received the Sanctuary Lifetime Service Award 2020, places a strong emphasis on the potential of local-language discourse for conservation, writing extensively in Tamil and English to motivate people to practice environmental stewardship.

• Baskaran revitalizes Krishnan's Tamil and English essays in Mazhaikalamum Kuyilosaiyum by contextualizing, translating, and compiling the work of a naturalist who dedicated decades to studying and protecting wildlife. Their collaboration, which honors reality by means of lyrical, non-fiction narration, combines sincere wildlife tales with environmental book principles.

• Is there a reason to read or use the book?

Anyone who cares about the environment will find this collection of wildlife story and natural stories to be ideal. The book promotes ecological awareness, inspires respect for biodiversity, and sparks a greater understanding of conservation through true experiences with plants and animals in a non-fictional tale. It's an invitation to view the world with awe and reverence, not just an environmental book.

"Immerse yourself in Mazhaikalamum Kuyilosaiyum—a lyrical journey where every page resonates with the sounds of the natural world and every tale strengthens your relationship with it."
