The Wisdom Contest

Once upon a time, Lord Shiva and Parvati decided to hold a contest to determine which of their sons, Ganesha and Kartikeya, was the wiser. They were told to circle the world three times. While Ganesha, without a vehicle, merely made three circles around his parents, declaring that they were his world, Kartikeya swiftly rode his peacock. He was declared winner by Lord Shiva and Parvati.
