A brass lota chombu / brass kalash / jaladhari is a traditional Indian container, often used in Hindu rituals and ceremonies to hold pooja or Abhishekam water.

The Kalash is known as Purna Kalasha, Purna-Kumbha, and Purna Ghata. As per the Rig Veda, Purna Kalash represents abundance and a life source. During Pujas, devotees fill the Kalash with holy water and place a coconut on top of it. The head of the coconut faces the sky, and they keep mango leaves, sometimes betel vines, dipped in the water. Some might also fill the vessel with coins, gems, gold, or grains. It is believed that the water and other elements in the Kalash symbolize the prosperity of our Earth, including vegetation and minerals.

• It is a pot-shaped vessel with a wide base, a narrow neck, and a round top, and is often adorned with intricate designs and engravings.
• The brass lota is considered a symbol of abundance, prosperity, and purity, and is often used as an offering in puja (worship) rituals.
• The brass material used in the construction of the Kalash chombu is believed to have a purifying effect on the substances it contains and is also considered to be a symbol of strength and durability.
• During Varalaskhmi puja, the face of Sri Lakshmi is well decorated and placed on a Kumba or kalasham using coconuts adorned with limbs and flowers.

One such story in Hinduism which depicts the importance of the Kalash is when the Asuras and Devas churned the seas during Samudra Manthan in search of Amrit, the elixir of life. They eventually obtained Amrit in a Kalash during the procedure. Because the Kalash possessed Amritam, it therefore came to symbolize immortality.

• This Kalash chombu's smooth, flawless finish adds to its magical charm.
• The pooja brass kalash chombu is an ideal gift item for festivals, weddings, housewarming parties, and other special occasions.
