Dr Rukmini Ramani, daughter of renowned composer Padma Bhushan, Sangeetha Kalanidhi, Brahmasri Papanasam Sivan has composed Kapaleeswarar Pancharatnam. Even though Rukmani Ramani is a famous composer in her own right, her works do adhere to her father's style.
Her father served as a major inspiration for several of her compositions, notably Kapaleeswarar Pancharatnam, which are pure expressions of her emotions. She has composed around 2000 other compositions which are in plain Tamil language and spread over seven volumes of Sivasakthi Keerthanamala.
She has also written songs about most Hindu deities including those in her Tiruvarur Pancharatnam, 108 Divyadesa kritis, 51 Shakthi Peeta kritis, Dwadasa Jyotirlinga kritis, Ashta Veerattana krits, Panchabhoota sthala krits, Saptha vitanka sthala krits, varnams, thillanas and operas in addition to Sivasakthi Keerthanamala.
