This work on the Guru Tradition is a translation of the Sage of Kanchi's discourses on Guru -tattva rendered in Tamil titled ‘Daivattin Kural’ by Maha Peryiva, during his long stay in Madras and its suburbs between the years 1957 and 1959.
The Gurudeva's discourses on the concept of the Guru elaborate on the entire scope of preceptors and teachers from the times of sage-gurus to the preceptors of gurukulas till the college professors and school teachers of the current era.
