Description
Sri Narayaneeyam is sung in praise of Sri Guruvayoorappan (Sri Krishna) the presiding deity worshipped in Guruvayoor, Kerala. The original script in sanskrit language has 1036 slokas. Mostly the slokas goes in line with the verses of Srimad Bhagavatam, Sri Narayaneeyam was the creative work of Sri Melpattur Narayana Namboothiri, an ardent devotee of Sri Narayana. Known for his ariticulation, lucidity and understanding of complex sutras of vedic texts, Brahmasri Sengalipuram Sri Anantharama Dikshitar has given a commentary in his style to Sriman Narayaneeyam. A book worth preserving for generations.
