It is said that the Puranas have influenced Indian philosophy since the beginning of time. They are supposed to have advised Indians in behavior in addition to dealing with principles and ethos. They shed light on our past as well. Dr. Vinay wrote a treatise called Padma Purana. Claiming to be a Sattva Purana a word that signifies holiness and purity is the Padma Purana. It is also known as the Gita Mahatmya Padma Purana and is one of the eighteen Puras, thought to have been completed between the fourth and the fifteenth century.
Two sections make up the classification of the text. There are five khandas in the first category and six in the second edition. Shrishti Khanda, Bhumi Khanda, Svarga Khanda, Patala Khanda, and Uttara Khanda are the five khandas. These six are called Brahma khandas. The discourse between Bhishma and the sage Pulastya is the format of the Srishti Khanda. Pushkara, a well-known pilgrimage site, is also discussed. Prithvi and the tales of Prithu and Yayati are described by Bhumi Khanda. The details of the universe and its creation are covered in the Svarga Khanda.
Additionally covered are the significance and relevance of holy sites as well as the geographic expansion of the region, including its mountains and rivers. It also discusses the ancient Indian population. The life of Lord Ram, a manifestation of Vishnu, is portrayed in the Patala Khanda. Without mentioning Lord Krishna, the Puranas are without something essential. The Patala Khanda's first few chapters are collectively referred to as the Shiv Gita. Metaphysical aspects are revealed in the conversation between Shiva and Parvati, as narrated by the Uttar Khanda.
