• Once upon a time, in a town named Kanthipatnam, King Sambukandan was looking for a husband for his beautiful and virtuous daughter, Gunasundari. •He decided to hold a Swayamvaram, inviting all the kings to participate. However, the kings refused to attend. When the king inquired about the reason, they revealed their concern:
• They were worried that Lord Rama from Ayodhya, along with his children, would also be invited to the Swayamvaram. They feared that there might be a conflict between Rama's children, similar to an incident that had happened earlier. They declared that they would only attend if Rama wasn't invited.
