The Story Behind Ganesha Chaturthi:
Parvati created a child named Vinayagar from turmeric powder while Shiva meditated. One day, while taking a bath, Parvati ordered Vinayagar to keep an eye on the entrance of her chamber. Vinayagar, unaware of Shiva's identity, stopped him from entering Parvati's chamber and even defeated Shiva's army. In anger, Shiva beheaded Vinayagar. Parvati threatened cosmic destruction unless he was revived. Shiva attached an elephant's head to Vinayagar, naming him Ganesha. This birth is celebrated as Ganesh Chaturthi, symbolising wisdom, new beginnings, and overcoming obstacles.
