Description
Sri Bhairava, is said to be the reincarnation of Sri Siva in his aghora (Krodha) swarupa. He is supposed to be guardian (Kshetrapala) of Sri Siva's temple.Generally, he is referred to as "Kalabairava", representing time. A guide to understanding the principles of worship of Sri Bhairava. Though known as a rudra roopa, he is also seen as a deity with boundless mercy to the devotees, giving away boons.
