One of history's finest statesmen, Chakravarti Rajagopalachari (Rajaji) was a brilliant politician, sharp thinker, visionary, and a devoted nationalist. Being a close acquaintance of Mahatma Gandhi, he was praised for being the Mahatma's conscience keeper. He served the country with honor as a devoted independence warrior, Chief Minister of Madras, Governor of West Bengal, Home Minister of India, and the first Indian Governor General of India. He also made a lasting impact on modern society. One of the illustrious original members of the Bhavan, Rajaji was intimately linked to Kulapati Munshiji. He had the honor of having eighteen of his novels published by the Bhavan thus far; he gave the Bhavan the copyright to all of them.
All of Rajaji's writings are well-known, particularly his essays on Marcus Aurelius, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Upanishads. He has demonstrated his unique talent for presenting stories and adapting their morals to the demands of the contemporary world in the Mahabharata and the Ramayana. Selections from the live versions of the eternal Tamil poet-Saint Tiru-Valluar are provided to Kural in this book. The choices are made using Rajaji's natural insight and are communicated in his native English. They'll definitely broaden the reader's perspective. Rajaji was 94 years old when he passed away in 1972.
