Tirupati

Amar Chitra Katha released the illustrated book Tirupati, which talks about Vishnu's incarnation as Venkateshwara. After Vishnu took on the form of Krishna and returned to Vaikuntha, the creator Brahma started to worry about the Earth and was scared that everything would turn chaotic without Vishnu. Thus, he and his wandering sage son Narada devised a plan to persuade Vishnu to return to Earth.

These tales of the establishment of the Venkateshwara temple at Tirupati feature a talking anthill, a haughty philosopher, a furious cowherd, and even the asura king Ravana. One of the most exquisite temples in the world, this one honors Lord Vishnu and is situated amidst the picturesque Tirumala hills.
