Pallava Thilagam - Tamil
Renowned Tamil novelist Chandilyan's historical fiction Pallava Thilagam is based on Tandivarman, son of Nandivarman and is also known as Pallava Thilagam. ‘Pallavathilaga Kullottava’ is the source of the title "Pallava Thilagam," and the story was previously serialized in the Tamil magazine "Amudhasurabhi."
Tandivarman supposedly belonged to the Bharathwaja gotra and was born to Reva Devi, the Nandivarman's second wife, also a Rashtrakuta. The Thiruvallikeni Sri Parthasarathy Swamy temple bears an inscription confirming Tandivarman's Vaishnava faith and affiliation with the Bharathwaja gotra. Chandilyan’s historical romance and adventure books, which are frequently set in the eras of the Chola and Pandya empires, are well recognized. Magazines have serialized his inventions.
