Bhagavan Yogi Ramsurathkumar Saritham - Tamil

Yogi Ramsurathkumar was fondly called Visiri Saamiyaar translated as ‘hand fan ascetic’ by people. After attaining enlightenment, he set up an ashram in Tiruvannamalai till his death in 2001 and taught the people Bhakti Methods and Gnana Yoga. He had Aurobindo, Ramana Maharishi and Ramadasa as his guru.

Writer Balakumaran, a devotee of Yogi Sri Ramsuratkumar, has authored the book, commemorating the 12th death anniversary of the ascetic in a biography titled ‘Bhagawan Yogi Ramsuratkumar Saritham’ which was released in the year 2013. Balakumaran, an ace Tamil novelist, heard about Yogi Ramsuratkumar 3 decades ago and was avoided by the saint initially, but was accepted after repeated efforts.
