The Bhagavad Gita - English

Srimad Bhagavad Gita, the voice of the God, is unique and different from other religious texts is that it is directly conveyed by the Supreme to a layman under an abnormal circumstance to pursue the path of the righteousness. Bhagavad Gita has 18 chapters and is considered to be one among the three main guiding principles of Hindu Dharma. (Prasthanathrayam). This work translated by Swami Chidbhavananda, of Sri Ramakrishna Tapovanam, Trichy, has much emphasis is given to attaining perfection by following the paths laid by Srimad Bhagavad Gita. More precisely, the translation is based on Advaitic principles of viewing the life and eternity. The knowledge of the author making the verses connecting with the mahavakyam, "Ta tvam Asi".
