Description
This is a simple round shaped vessel made from pure brass with broad mouth and slightly narrow base. It is ideal for storing water or liquids. Also called tharpana patra or argya patra used in sandyavandhanam or in any upasana, this tharpana chatti can also be used as container for holding fruits or mantra akshada (Yellow coloured rice). An essential in prayogam, this tharpana patra is used to give oblations (marjayam) in liquid to deities. One of the items given during dhanams.
