Kamakshi Lamp - Sri Kamakshi devi lamp made of Brass. Sri Kamakshi devi resides in deepa (Light) of the Lamp, also called Nilavilakku, to keep facing the East or North direction. After lighting the Deepa, one could be able to see the Sri Kamakshi Devi's image behind the deepa. Believed Sri Kamakshi Devi is the Sakthi of Devathas and in the Kamakshi lamp, she resides. Lighting & offering worship the lamp in the Brahma Muhurtha and in the evening (Saya ratchai or Go Dhooli) hours, , reciting "thiruvilakke, devi parashakthi thiruvilakke. . " stanzas, all round prosperity will be showered.
