Description
Pavithra mala is made of pure cotton to adorn deities (sri Vaishnava deities) as per agama requirement. Adorned to the deities, Yaaga kundams, Kalasam during the pavithra utsvams (annual cleansing ceremony) or Samprokshanam (Kumbabhishekam). Distributed to devotees after the Pooja to devotees as prasadam. A Sri Vaishnava can wear this pavithra mala during aradhana, among one of the rosaries (mala).
