Description
Panchaloha Garudar - Sri Garuda (Periya Thiruvadi), is the vahana and the emblem in the flag of Sriman Narayana is sculpted in Panchaloha (five metals combined with proportions specified by Shastras). Garuda is seen with anjali hasta. The features of the deity with Nagabarana and his wings is intricately depicted. The feet is firmly placed on padmapeeda. Garuda is a symbol of luck and fortune. Many temples have separate Garuda Sannidhi and the one in Nachiyar Koil is famous for Kal-Garuda (made of stone). By Worshipping Garuda with Mala Mantra (Om namo bhagavate Garudaaya, Kaalagni. . ) one gets the Naga doshas waded off. Since this utsava moorthy, can be kept in temples where separate sannidhi for Garuda is available.
