Description
Sri Saraswathi, worshipped for acquiring knowledge and skill, is beautifully carved. This vigraha (statute) has all the features specified by Shilpa Sastra for Sri Saraswathi and the sculptor has given due attention to details. She holds a makara veena in two hands and in other two hands, she holds a book and japamala. She is the bestower of skill, mastery of art and knowledge. Worshipping with Vaagdevi suktam and Saraswathi suktam brings Saraswathi Kadaksham. This icon has all the antique properties.
